From sacred sites to undeveloped landscapes to the spaces between shopping centers, all land is culturally important.

Even though Los Angeles County is considered to be “developed,” the villages beneath our neighborhoods hold thousands of years of memories. Our founders believe that all land is sacred.

TLC believes that land rematriation is the only way for both the natural and human environments to heal from the effects of colonization.

The TLC is geographically-bound to the Tribal Territory of the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians. Land located within and around these four valleys carry deep significance:
