Luis Cervantes

Executive Director

Luis Cervantes has served in the Los Angeles non-profit sector for nearly twenty years, including for the United American Indian Involvement (UAII), where he acted as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. The agencies he has spearheaded provide assisted living, educational support, substance abuse assistance, unhoused services, Veteran aid, and workforce development. 

Julia Lindner

Program Manager

Julia earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and is passionate about building environmental resilience in urban communities through Tribal land return, community education, and ecological restoration. Julia was a member of the 2024 Coro Southern California Climate Resilience Leadership Network (CRLN) cohort.

Jerry Calderon

Policy and Outreach Coordinator

Jerry serves the Tataviam Land Conservancy and the greater Fernandeño Tatavaiam Band of Mission Indians by helping develop land acquisition policies and working with various stakeholders to garnish support for TLC’s mission. Jerry remains particularly interested in Tribal sovereignty and how a Tribe’s sovereign authority over its homelands is imperative to its ability to perform critical functions like cultural heritage, meaningful ceremony, thriving economic endeavors, and independent government.
